Pesarattu has different names, pesara attu, pesara dosa. It is a popular Andhra Pradesh breakfast, and is similar to dosa. Crepe recipe made with Green gram. It goes good with ginger chutney, Upma-Pesarattu is a best combination breakfast.

Ingredients for Pesarattu

  • 1 cup green gram
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tsp jeera / cumin
  • 3 tbsp refined oil

Preparation of Pesarattu

  • First clean, wash and soak green gram in water for around 5 to 6 hours.
  • Secondly drain water, and add to grinder along with green chillies, ginger, cumin, salt, and water and blend to make a batter.
  • Let the batter be in Pouring consistency, if required pour water.
  • Once the batter ready, heat the fry pan on medium flame. And pour 1 ladle of batter on to the pan, spread it in a round shape of thin layer.
  • Then apply oil and turn upside down and cook slightly then turn around immediately and cook till it’s done.
  • Repeat the procedure for the second one.
  • Finally serve Pesara attu hot with chutney.
