Paneer Korma

Paneer Kurma – a special dish made with fried cubes of Paneer, along with mixture of poppy seeds, cashew nut and coconut. Which gives different taste.

Paneer Korma

Ingredients for Paneer Korma

  • Paneer 250 gms
  • Ghee 80 gms
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Onion 2 No’s
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Cloves 6
  • Cardamoms 6
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Black cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste 2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red Chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Water 1 ltr
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh chopped coriander leaves 2 springs
  • Green chillies 2 No’s halved
  • Poppy seeds 2 tsp
  • Coconut 2 tsp
  • Cashew nut 2 tsp

Preparation of Paneer Korma

  • Cut paneer into small cubes.
  • Add ghee into separate shallow pan add paneer cubes and fry till slight brown and remove and keep aside.
  • And grind coconut, poppy seeds and cashew nut into fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a deep fry pan add cinnamon, clove, cardamom and bay leaf, black cumin seeds and sauté.
  • Then add onion and fry till golden brown, later add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and cook.
  • And add tomato.
  • Then add grounded paste in the mixture and cook for some while.
  • Later add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and cook till the mixture is thickened.
  • Know add paneer to the gravy and mix well.
  • And add water to the mixture and cook till boil. Add garam masala.
  • Remove from flame and add cream, and garnish with coriander leaves.
