Groundnut Kurma

Ingredients for Groundnut Kurma

  • Groundnut 150 gms
  • Onion 2 No’s
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chillies 3 No’s
  • Ginger small piece
  • Garlic 4-5 cloves
  • Mustard seeds ¼ tsp
  • Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
  • Coriander powder ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Water ½ ltr

Preparation of Groundnut Kurma

  • Dry fry the groundnut and grind coarsely and keep aside.
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds sauté, then add onions and fry till golden brown.
  • Then add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • Later add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and cook for some while.
  • Add groundnut into the mixture and add water and cook till its boil.
  • And cook slowly till the groundnut is tender.
  • Then add garam masala and cook for some time.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
