Ingredients for Beerakaya Chana Curry

  • Beerakaya 250 gms
  • Chana 100 gms
  • Green chilli 4 No’s
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Onion 1 N0
  • Garlic cloves 4 No’s
  • Ginger small piece
  • Tomato 3 No’s
  • Coriander powder 1tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 1 spring

Preparation of Beerakaya Chana Curry

  • First cut Beerakaya in to small pieces and wash.
  • Soak Chana for 10 to 15 Mins.
  • In a deep fry pay add oil, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, onion and green chillies, and cook for some time.
  • Then later add ginger garlic paste and tomato and mix well.
  • Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook for some time.
  • And add beerakaya, chana dal, mix well and add water and cook it for some time till both are cooked.
  • Later reduce the flame and mix the curry well and remove from flame.
  • Serve better with white rice and chapathi.
