Ingredients for Coconut Chutney

  • Coconut ½  No
  • Gram dal 30 gms
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Green chillies 6
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves small bunch
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Mustard seed ½ tsp
  • Urad dal ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves 1 spring

Preparation

  • First grate the coconut.
  • Know add the grated coconut to a mixture along with gram dal, Asafoetida, green chillies, Coriander leaves and salt.
  • Grind the mixture to a fine paste by adding water.
  • Remove the same to a serving container.
  • Know heat pan add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, urad dal and fry till it cracks.
  • Then pour it onto chutney and mix well.
  • Finally serve better with Idli, vada and dosa.
